Hey guys! I'm so sorry I didn't post on Friday, but it's been a busy week at college and I've been flat out all week. So I will try and post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but if I can't I will try my very best to post 3 times a week. Alrighty then...on with the show!
Ok, so today's post is a haul (yippeee - shopping!). I know library books aren't actually bought, but I love reading and haven't been to the library in ages so I thought I'd show you what I got. I've also got some stuff I actually did buy this week.
Let's start with the library books. First up is A Midsummer Tights Dream by Louise Rennison. This is the second in the series, starting with Withering Tights, and follows Talullah (if I've spelt that right) at a performing arts school in Yorkshire. Although I enjoyed the first book, it's been a while since I've read it and I was worried that I wouldn't remember it enough to enjoy this one. I was wrong. I loved the second book, and I can't wait for the third! And let me just say...Cain Hinchcliff: oh my satin pajamas!
Next is the book that I've just started - Primeval: Extinction Event by Dan Abnett. I love Primeval (Captain Becker anyone?) but I haven't read any of the books apart from this one. I have only just started so, unlike the one above, I don't know if I'll like this, but it does look promising so far.
The laast book from the library is The Wag's Diary by Alison Kervin. I haven't started this yet, but it sounds quite funny. I'm not entirely sure if this is a true account or just a fictional novel, so if anyone knows please comment on this post. Either way, I think that this sounds like it could be funny, so I'm looking forward to starting it.
The first thing I bought was from Superdrug, and it's MUA Mystical Glitter Nail Polish in Mermaid. This looks like a lovely, vibrant blue, and I'm looking forward to using this. Superdrug was having a sale on MUA nail products, with 2 for £2 (or something like that), so that's where I got this, and the product below.
This next product is the MUA Nail Constellation in Pisces. I've never tried anything like this before so I'm quite excited. I think I'll try it on accent nails first to see if I can make it look good - if anyone's tried it please let me know how it went in the comments. Also, my star sign is Pisces so I went for this one - I love that the different colours are all a zodiac sign.
Finally, the Kindle books I bought. The pictures are all from amazon because you couldn't see the words on my actual Kindle. First is How to Memorise Anything by Dante Petrilla. I haven't read it, but it had some good reviews so I decided to try it. I can't remember how much it was, but none of them were too expensive (I think it was under £15 for all three).
Next is The Memory Palace by Lewis Smile (seeing the theme here?). I'm hoping these books will help me hone my memory in time for my AS Level exams in May and June.
Last but not least it's You Can Have an Amazing Memory by Dominic O'Brien. Again, I'm not too sure how much it was, but it wasn't very expensive at all. I'm hoping to start these books soon so I'll let you know how it goes.
So that's what I've bought in the last week or so. I've got some review ideas and other ideas for upcoming posts, and if anyone has any requests or ideas please let me know in the comments. See you next time (hopefully Wednesday)!
